What is a Virtual Companion? expand_more
It's an interactive, AI-powered version of a 3D avatar. We take beautiful models from VRoid artists and give them personality, memory, and the ability to chat. It’s a way to form a genuine connection with a digital character, making them feel like a friend or a 'digital pet' rather than just a chatbot.
Do I need to own the 3D model? expand_more
It depends! Our gallery features companions based on free, commercially-licensed models you can chat with right away. For premium companions from top artists, we'll link you to their store (like Booth.pm or VRoid Hub) to buy the model directly from them. Once you own it, you can bring it back to aiDreams to 'activate' its personality and chat features via a subscription.
How do creators earn money? expand_more
Our model is built to support artists. Creators continue to sell their models on their own stores and receive 100% of that revenue. When a user who purchased their model subscribes on aiDreams to unlock chat features, the creator receives a 70% share of that recurring subscription revenue. It's a new, passive income stream for work they've already completed.
Why use NFTs? Is it required? expand_more
NFTs are a powerful, completely optional feature for true fans. After you've purchased a model from a creator and subscribed to its chat features, you can choose to 'mint' your unique version of that companion. This lets you customize it with a specific voice, music, or environment and creates a permanent, collectible token of your connection. It is not required to enjoy the chat experience.
Is this compliant with VRoid's terms? expand_more
Yes. We are a registered VRoid developer, and our platform is designed as a consumer application to be fully compliant with their ecosystem guidelines. By linking to creators' stores for sales and requiring users to own the models they activate, we respect creator ownership and add value to the ecosystem. Our goal is to be featured in the official VRoid App Store as a valuable partner application.
